Paris Europlace NBFI Working Group’s response to the European Commission consultation

The Paris Europlace working group on NBFI (Non-Banking Financial Intermediation) thanks the FSB for organizing a consultation on the subject. In its response, Paris Europlace invites the FSB to properly define this notion of NBFI, to assess in all jurisdictions the proper implementation of its recommendations and to properly proportion the regulation with regard to truly systemic risks. Indeed, the European Union already effectively regulates a number of entities classified in the NBFI category.
