The Institut de la Finance Durable, a branch of Paris Europlace, is pleased to invite you to the 2nd edition of its annual sustainable finance event, the Rencontres de l'IFD, on March 31, 2025.
"ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION: RECONNECTING WITH A LONG-TERM STRATEGIC VISION
France, Europe and the world are facing major political and geopolitical upheavals. The ecological transition seems to be taking a back seat. A return to a strategic vision of the transition requires us to accelerate the redirection of the economy towards a more sustainable model, by basing reindustrialization on opportunities linked to the decarbonization of economies. The financial sector has a role to play in supporting the transition of all sectors by allocating capital to corporate and public sector transformation projects at a cost compatible with their economic profitability.
This also implies close dialogue between public authorities, transition players, investors and financiers, particularly in emerging countries.
The aim of the Rencontres de l'IFD is to nurture this exchange, so as to coordinate and accelerate the actions of the players in the Paris marketplace: what coordination is needed with public authorities and the various international levels? What financing solutions are needed? What standardization tools are needed? How can we accelerate the global momentum?
