Join us on April 22, 2024 for our new major event on the theme of "Financing the ecological transition: time for action!"
To mark the first anniversary of its creation, the Institut de la Finance Durable is organizing its first event, Les Rencontres de L'IFD, which will take place on April 22, 2024 at the Ministry of the Economy and Finance - Bercy.
Our event, a high-level discussion forum bringing together the key players and decision-makers involved in the success of the ecological transition in the financial sector, aims to nurture this exchange to coordinate and accelerate the action of players in the Paris marketplace: what coordination with public authorities? What financing solutions? What standardization tools are needed? How can we accelerate the global momentum? We will be bringing together representatives from government, administration, political figures, researchers, professionals and executives from financial and industrial companies, offering a comprehensive and holistic perspective on the challenges linked to sustainable finance, and more specifically to climate. This first edition will have a national focus, but will also be open to international issues, in particular the financing of emerging countries.
Climate change is a reality, and calls for a veritable industrial revolution on a global scale. This transformation of the economy requires considerable investment, as it concerns virtually all sectors of activity. In its first report, " Plan d'actions pour le financement de la transition écologique " ( Action plan for financing the ecological transition ), the IFD made a clear diagnosis: although the necessary investment needs are considerable, household savings are a real asset that can be mobilized for the ecological transition. The current shortfall in financing the transition therefore lies less in the resources to be mobilized than in the projects themselves, and the ecological and industrial planning to be implemented. We need to build a new political economy, because this change requires the alignment of all the key players - public authorities, businesses and financial institutions. It therefore requires close dialogue between these different players, which is what our new annual event is all about!
